Raymond M. Powell, originally from Kingston, Jamaica, is a U.S. citizen and long-time resident of Broward County, Florida. A graduate of the University of Akron School of Law in 1991, Powell has built a distinguished career with over 25 years of experience specializing in civil law, including business, probate, real estate, and workers’ compensation. He is a dedicated family man, married for 35 years, with two children and a grandson. Powell is an active member of Gateway Church in Fort Lauderdale, where he has been involved for 35 years, and has served as the president of Genesis FC Soccer Club in Sunrise, Florida for over 25 years. Additionally, he has been a board member of the James Club for 3 years. Outside of his legal work, Powell enjoys teaching real estate law, contributing to charity boards, and spending time with his family while staying active in sports.
