Wayne Bellando is the President and CEO of Pro Pest Control, Inc., a family-owned business he has led since its founding in 1991. Under his leadership, the company has provided professional and affordable pest control services, tailoring its programs to meet the unique needs of each client.
Pro Pest Control, Inc. began as a small company in 1984 in Rockland County, New York, founded by Wayne, his brother Alan, and family friend Mike Bell. They started by performing landscaping, lawn maintenance, and minor pest control. The company had to adjust its services with the seasons, focusing on fertilizing lawns and treating pests during the summer and switching to snow plowing in the winter.
In 1989, seeking consistent weather and recognizing the year-round demand for pest control services in South Florida, Wayne moved the company to Miami. However, Hurricane Andrew in 1992 impacted the company and the area. Pro Pest Control adapted by entering the tree removal business, assisting in cleaning up Miami for several weeks before relocating to Broward County at the end of the year.
Throughout its history, Pro Pest Control has been committed to customer support and community involvement. The company sponsors local athletic teams, including a men’s softball team called “Pro Pest,” which won many championships over eight years and led to many clients who heard and read about the team’s success in the newspapers. This support of local youth sports is an aspect of the company that Wayne and his team hold dear.
As of January 2025, Pro Pest Control continues to operate as a family business, specializing in rodent exclusion and removal.
Wayne’s dedication to his company and community has been recognized, with Pro Pest Control being named the “M O B (Margate Outstanding Business)” in a recent week.
Under Wayne’s leadership, Pro Pest Control remains a trusted provider of pest control services in South Florida, known for its professionalism, customer satisfaction, and community involvement.
