Code of Conduct

At James Club Foundation, we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where individuals in recovery can connect, grow, and thrive. The Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all members, staff, volunteers, and visitors in order to ensure respect, dignity, and accountability. By participating in James Club Recovery, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.

  • 1. Respect for All
    • Treat all individuals with kindness, respect, and dignity, regardless of their background, beliefs, or recovery journey.
    • Avoid discriminatory language or behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other personal attribute.
    • Honor the diversity or recovery paths and respect each individual’s choice of recovery program or method.
  • 2. Commitment to Safety
    • Maintain a drug and alcohol-free environment at all times.
    • Refrain from bringing substances, paraphernalia, or triggering materials into the space.
    • Act responsibly to ensure the physical and emotional safety of everyone. Aggressive, threatening, or violent behavior will not be tolerated.
  • 3. Confidentiality
    • Respect the confidentiality of others by not sharing personal stories, discussions, or identifying information outside of James Club Recovery.
    • What is shared in this space stays in this space.
  • 4. Participation with Integrity
    • Be honest and authentic in your interactions with others.
    • Engage actively and respectfully in meetings, events, and activities.
    • Refrain from interrupting others while they are speaking.
  • 5. Boundaries and Relationships
    • Respect personal boundaries and seek consent before offering advice or physical touch.
    • Avoid engaging in romantic or sexual relationships that may compromise the recovery process of yourself or others.
    • Report any conflicts or inappropriate behavior to staff or leadership promptly.
  • 6. Accountability
    • Accept responsibility for your actions and words.
    • If a conflict arises, address it constructively and with an open mind.
    • Adhere to the rules, guidelines, and values established by James Club Recovery.
  • 7. Prohibited Behaviors
  • The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in removal from James Club Recovery:
    • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind.
    • Possession or use of drugs and alcohol, or the ownership of weapons on premises.
    • Theft, vandalism, or any illegal activity.
    • Persistent disruptions or refusal to adhere to this Code of Conduct.
  • 8. Reporting Concerns
    • If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to a staff member, volunteer, or leadership team immediately. All reports with be handled with discretion and care.
