At the James Club Recovery Foundation, every donation is directed toward creating real opportunities for individuals seeking recovery. We focus on removing financial barriers and providing access to structured housing and long-term support through two core initiatives: the Scholarship / Pay-It-Forward Program and the Grace Period Program.
These programs are designed to ensure that individuals are not turned away due to financial hardship and are given the time, structure, and support necessary to build a sustainable life in recovery.
Scholarship & Pay-It-Forward Program
The James Club Recovery Scholarship / Pay-It-Forward Program provides financial assistance to individuals who are committed to recovery but lack the immediate resources to enter structured sober living.
Through donor support, qualified individuals are granted partial or full scholarships to live at James Club Recovery, where they participate in a comprehensive 9–12 month program focused on accountability, personal growth, and long-term sobriety.
What makes this program unique is the Pay-It-Forward component. As individuals stabilize, gain employment, and progress in their recovery, they are encouraged to contribute back—either financially or through service—helping support the next person in need. This creates a powerful cycle of recovery, responsibility, and community.
Program Impact:
- Removes financial barriers to entry into recovery housing
- Provides immediate access to a structured 9–12 month program
- Encourages accountability and long-term responsibility
- Creates a sustainable cycle of giving within the recovery community
Grace Period Program
The Grace Period Program is designed to support individuals during one of the most critical moments in recovery—the transition into sober living when financial stability has not yet been established.
This program allows individuals to enter James Club Recovery housing immediately, even if they are unable to pay upfront. During this grace period, residents are given time to:
- Secure employment
- Stabilize their routine
- Begin integrating into the structured recovery program
By eliminating the pressure of immediate financial obligations, the Grace Period Program ensures that individuals can focus on what matters most—building a foundation in recovery.
Program Impact:
- Prevents individuals from falling through the cracks due to lack of funds
- Provides immediate housing and structure at a critical transition point
- Supports early recovery stability and employment placement
- Increases long-term program retention and success rates
Making Recovery Accessible
Both programs reflect the Foundation’s core belief: no one should be denied the opportunity to recover due to financial hardship.
Through the support of donors, we are able to:
- Provide safe, structured housing
- Extend time in recovery beyond short-term treatment
- Support long-term success and independence
Every contribution directly impacts someone’s ability to begin—or continue—their journey in recovery.
